Why Dali?
When I was trying to come up with a name for the art group I wrote down a whole bunch of famous artist's names. The one that popped out was Dali. I knew that was the name I wanted to use, Salvador Dali.
Salvador Dali was very imaginative (which little kids are)
and
dilly-dally is dawdling (which little kids do)
so put them together and you get
DILLY-DALI!
Why the elephant logo?
I am really intrigued by Dali's painting "Elephants"
I can't stop looking at it!
It's kinda creepy yet awesome
and
the red sky, I love it.
I contacted someone I knew would be able to work with my ideas
and
